Graphene technologies in the digital humanities ; Graphentechnologien in den digitalen Geisteswissenschaften

Abstract

this book is created on Github Pages as an open book project. Open book project means that on Github the working process with all changes is transparent. In addition to an introduction to graphene technologies with a focus on humanities, projects in the field of basic humanities research are imported into the neo4j Graph database and then various modelling perspectives of human science research data in the graphene and the associated evaluation possibilities are discussed. The book was prompted by numerous discussions with colleagues who repeatedly encouraged my many experiences on modelling, importing and exploring graph data to be written. The rapid technological development alone makes a traditional book project difficult and I finally decided to write the book on Github. This means that the book is already freely available in a preliminary version at https://kuczera.github.io/Graphentechnologien/. It is currently a working document. The advantage of the open book concept is to be able to react flexibly to new technological developments, thus keeping Querys and Code up to date and operational. On the other hand, all previous versions are stored in git in a transparent way and can be retrieved again for versioning questions. I am grateful for any feedback, suggestions for improvement and advice. Please refer to the introduction for further information.
